About
My Story
I started my career building things.
At first that meant front-end development, interactive media, and software. I have worked across a wide range of domains, from biotechnology and healthcare to enterprise software, industrial design, education, and electronic engineering. Those experiences exposed me to software development, physical product design, research, product strategy, organizational transformation, and, more recently, artificial intelligence.
One of the biggest turning points in my career came at BresslerGroup. Working alongside industrial designers, human factors specialists, researchers, and psychologists changed the way I thought about products. It taught me that good design begins long before the interface—by understanding people, their environment, and the work they are trying to accomplish.
That perspective continued to evolve at SunGard, where I experienced what it looked like when Product, Design, and Engineering worked as true partners. It reinforced my belief that successful products are the result of strong collaboration as much as strong design.
At Korn Ferry and later Frontline Education, my role expanded beyond designing products to helping organizations improve how products are conceived, validated, and delivered. My work shifted toward building discovery capabilities, growing design organizations, modernizing product development practices, and creating environments where cross-functional teams could make better decisions together.
Today, my interests are centered on artificial intelligence and natural-language interaction. Through projects like Project STEVE, I'm exploring how AI changes the relationship between people and software—not simply by adding AI to existing interfaces, but by questioning whether those interfaces are still the right model in the first place.
The common thread throughout my career has been a fascination with how people work. Whether the challenge involved physical products, enterprise software, organizational transformation, or AI, I've always been interested in understanding the problem before designing the solution.
